No other brokerage firm knows New York City and its complex real estate market like Citi Habitats. As the city’s premier residential real estate authority, our company is dedicated helping people from all over the world realize their personal real estate goals.  Since opening our doors in 1994, our unwavering commitment to quality service has helped propel Citi Habitats to its position as one of the top 10 sales companies and the top rental company in NYC.  This focus on achievement not only applies to clients, but also to our agents, as we help them build and grow their respective businesses and reach their own definitions of success.

Whether you’re new to the industry or a seasoned agent, we are here to help.  Affiliating with Citi Habitats opens the door to a variety of agent resources that are beyond compare. Not only do we boast unparalleled industry knowledge, we have the support staff, experience and technological tools to help you take your career to new heights.

Office Facilities
Citi Habitats has recently embarked on a comprehensive office revitalization campaign to rebuild all of our office locations to reflect the way that agents in the 21st century work and interact with clients. These offices include flexible work stations to accommodate visiting agents, lounge-style meeting areas, private phone rooms, and hi-tech conference centers equipped with Apple TV and wireless presentation systems. All locations offer the latest and greatest in technology as well as modern, industrial-inspired design elements. They are not only functional - but fun, inspiring places from which to do business.

Inventory, Listings and Databases
The Citi Habitats proprietary listings database simply cannot be beat. Updated daily, virtually every available sale and rental listing in the city - including company and agent exclusives, as well as open listings - can be found with a simple keyword search. Easy to navigate, comprehensive, and with interactive tools, it is a major component to agents’ success.

In addition, the company’s new development division markets and leases new residential developments for the city’s most notable builders, and often offers special agent incentives for transactions closed in one of their exclusive on-site projects.

In real estate, knowledge is power.  Citi Habitats’ monthly rental and sales market reports enable agents to have a thorough understanding of market trends to help them be knowledgeable guides and advocates for their clients.

Technology
Like never before, technology is a driving force in the real estate brokerage industry. Dedicated to staying on the cutting edge and with an eye to the future, we’re creating an all-new, fully-integrated listings database that will be fully launched by the end of 2015. We will also roll out a completely redesigned CitiHabitats.com in 2015. It will offer features never before seen on a real estate website.

Everyone at Citi Habitats has access to 24/7 tech support from an internal technology team dedicated to assisting both agents and corporate staff. We are proud of our agent center, where agents can access a myriad of resources, including lease templates, customizable marketing materials, and sales and rental market data.

Because agents are always on the go – all of our technology and databases are accessible remotely. Whether working from home, accessing their desktop from any one of our offices, or touring listings with a client, our agents always have access to every tool they need.

Professional Skill Development
Citi Habitats’ Agent Development Orientation (CHADO) is best-in-class. New agents participate in an intensive week- long program where they learn the essentials of successfully working with clients and closing transactions. Citi Habitats agents also have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive 45-hour sales skills program. In addition, the Senior Managing Directors of our branch offices are dedicated to their agents’ success and offer two to four in-office workshops and seminars on a weekly basis.

Agents can take advantage of one-on-one and small group coaching with experienced real estate professionals from our management team. The company’s dedicated training coordinator and Marketing Department provide ongoing workshops for new and experienced agents on a continuous basis on a wide variety of real estate-related topics.

Citi Habitats EVP and COO, Peter  j. Sobeck, is a nationally renowned trainer and corporate coach  who spent  many  years travelling  the  country helping  top  agents  and  managers build and grow successful real estate businesses. Peter now offers a popular agent development series at Citi Habitats. Topics include how to obtain exclusive listings, ways to build a long-term client base, and successful lead generation. Overall, there are over 200 learning opportunities a year at Citi Habitats, all at no cost to the agent.

Marketing and Public Relations
Citi Habitats’ in-house marketing team - which includes a social media specialist, graphic designers and a public relations professional - is focused on helping agents gain exposure and market their business. Our professional pitch and marketing materials are available to agents in hardcopy and PDF format. The marketing department is also available to help agents with targeted marketing and outreach that captures the unique aspects of their business.

CitiHabitats.com is one of the most highly-trafficked websites dedicated to NYC real estate. With ad space on the company website at Citi Habitats’ cost and automatic feeds to multiple real estate sites such as NYTimes.com, StreetEasy, Zillow and Curbed.com, agents have a myriad of opportunities to market their services and listings.

Supporting the idea that real estate is all about relationships, we have a custom mass marketing platform that allows agents to easily stay connected to their sphere of influence. A variety of customizable email and postcard templates are regularly uploaded and provide useful and entertaining information about what’s going on in the city, as well as updates on local real estate market conditions.

Management
All of Citi Habitats’ licensed managers are “non-competing,” meaning that they are fully committed helping their agents build and grow their respective businesses. We have an open door policy at every level. Each office’s senior leadership provides one-on-one training, coaching and mentoring. Our managers’ goal is to help their agents execute at the highest level. The management team’s most significant customers are the agents, and as a company that believes in customer service at every level, we are dedicated in providing them with the best resources and support possible.

Corporate Culture
Citi Habitats is proud to be a member of the NRT/Realogy family of companies, the nation’s largest - and most well-respected - provider of real estate services. In addition to Citi Habitats, NRT/Realogy is home to such notable brands such as The Corcoran Group, Sotheby’s and Coldwell Banker. It’s the combination of great companies and great people that has resulted in innovative ideas, valuable synergies and above all, a culture committed to superior service.

While we are fortunate to have the resources only a large established brand can offer - we have the feel, attention to detail and warmth of a smaller, local company. Citi Habitats is a place where people want to come to work every day. Despite the inherent competitive nature of the real estate business, there is an overwhelming environment of camaraderie and support amongst agents.

At Citi Habitats, it’s the little details that matter. From making personal phone calls to congratulate agents and staff on their achievements, to hosting special events to thank them for their hard work, the top level of our management team strives to build meaningful connections.

We are connected to the larger community as well.  The Citi Habitats Cares program supports volunteer community service activities throughout the city. Each office has agent ambassadors who coordinate individual programs. Recent initiatives have included rebuilding homes for Habitat for Humanity, packaging and distributing food for City Harvest and preparing and serving meals for The Bowery Mission and other local charities. Last year, we launched a pilot program to provide underserved children in the foster care system holiday gifts.
